Season's Greetings from
Blue Coyote Theater Group!
All the Blue Coyotes—Bob, Gary, Kyle, and Stephen—send you heartfelt wishes for a sensational holiday season. We'd also like to thank you for your wonderful support in 2011! Your help keeps us going!
We are very excited about our plans for the coming year (our twelfth!), and we hope you will feel inspired to continue your support to help us make those plans a reality. We continue to be devoted to the things you've come to know us for: working hard to develop provocative and stirring new plays and providing a nurturing, supportive environment for the playwrights behind those efforts. With that, we are delighted to share with you the two really big projects we're working on for 2012.
THE WORLD PREMIERE OF DAVID JOHNSTON'S NEW PLAY, CONEY!

We've had a long and fruitful relationship with playwright David Johnston. Busted Jesus Comix, A Bush Carol, The Oresteia, Conversations on Russian Literature, and Effie Jean in Tahitiwere all crowd favorites, and we are thrilled to announce our next main-stage production, CONEY — a funny and bittersweet look at a charmed but vanishing culture. It will be a rich and engaging event you won't want to miss!
THE COYOTE COMMISSION PROJECT!

This year, Blue Coyote embarked on an enormously ambitious project. As part of our ongoing efforts to encourage and support new theater voices, we invited six of our favorite playwrights to participate in the C.C.P. by commissioning them to write a full-length play. That's right, there are currently six new plays in development, six new plays that will get a produced staged reading, at least two of them in 2012! And we created the Coyote Commission Project Blog for the C.C.P. playwrights to share their thoughts and insights about the process, and anything else related to the craft of playwrighting.
We hope you will consider making a tax-deductible contribution to Blue Coyote Theater Group. Your impact will be immediate and it will help us bring this exciting new programming to life. And it will only take a minute — you can start by clicking on the Donate Now button! Or, if you prefer, you can mail a check to the address below. We are confident that as you share the 2012 season with us, you will find your investment was well worth your while!
We'll wrap this up with some nice things some nice people have said about us this year. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. We are truly grateful for the audiences and friends who have supported us over the years, and we look forward to many more years of art, fun, and friendship.
Heartfelt wishes for all in the new year!
Bob, Kyle, Gary, Stephen
"Blue Coyote Theater Group is one of a very small number of companies that has earned my complete trust in guiding me to stimulating, challenging, and exciting new plays and playwrights. They are true champions of important new dramatic writing, providing platforms for excellent writers who not only have unique and commanding voices, but also have something worthwhile to say."
Martin Denton, Executive Director, New York Theatre Experience, Inc.
"Blue Coyote is one of New York City's theatrical shining lights. As an audience member, I consider the productions of Blue Coyote to be cultural highlights in the "not-to-be-missed" category."
Jonathan Hollander, President & Artistic Director, Battery Dance Company
"What impresses me most about Blue Coyote is the way that they maintain their artistic spine while constantly bringing new forms and new artists into the mix. The material they choose is never predictable while at the same time you can trace through their choices central concerns about the way human beings connect to each other and to the world at large."
